SU80-7 :: GS Fundamentals :: What is a Service Unit?

What is a service unit?

A service unit is made up of Girl Scouts troops within one area to better manage, facilitate, and support the needs of its Girl Scout troops.

Our troops meet within part of the eastern Prince William county, Virginia area.

At the service unit level there are great positions for adults who enjoy working with other adults, like organizing, providing guidance, sharing experience with other leaders, or enjoy management-type positions. This is a great way for adults who don't have the time to be a troop leader to get involved with Girl Scouts.

Thank you to all the volunteers who dedicate their service to the success of our service unit.
